For real? I demand evidence !

Forgive my stupidity, but surely you can't work on piling until the site is clear?

indeed - foxy - calm yourself down old fruit! Keltbray have a small site boxed off behind Crosby Court and one of the London posters (JCG) reports that they are doing preliminary soil testing and initial 'piling', although I'm not sure what that really means. Kelbray are demolition contractors and I expect they will be taking the building down when it is fully vacated next year.

Piling does suggest some big ass piledriver action, clonking around the site etc etc. Its nothing as exciting as that yet, but give it time!

I said "piling works have begun on site" - which they have.

I never said they were actually starting groundwork on the tower. It's you that's misinterpreting what I said.

So... give it a rest please son.

And if you think I "always" give wrong or misleading information then fine - I'll stay away from this forum in future.

Bye!

If I'm understanding your question correctly then the Bishopsgate Tower is being built in the heart of 'The City' cluster. 'The City' is the area within the Roman wall roughly one square mile in area (hence also known as 'The Square Mile'). Its the ancient heart of London and today the centre of the financial district, although Canary Wharf (the other main cluster) is now a secondary financial centre.
