Photo of the current site, by Jimbo. This tower stands a 99% chance of going ahead now.

If London does get this and Heron (which is looking very likely) as well as The Shard and Leadenhall, I'll be overjoyed!

I reckon the increase in office space - hence profitability of the scheme - is part of the deal with the co-investor tipped to be Arab Investments.

New renderings available very soon

London deserves this designs of buildings. It is so artistic. I wish they still preserved the old but iconic buildings.

They do- All the sites for these new skyscrapers are replacing post war offices built in the 1950's, 60's & 70's.

Having visited London recently, UNESCO are recommending that the Bishopsgate Tower be cancelled, or the Tower of London could lose its "World Heritage" status. Please sign this petition to the Mayor of London -

It amazes me at how ironic this can be, such small minded individuals who can't grasp the bigger picture over some shitty little excuse. Out of ALL the cities in the world, they have to pick London, UNESCO are just as bad as terrorists. Who or what thing are responsible for bringing these creatures in?

I don't see any point on cancelling Bishopsgate Tower(not so sure about LBT) since the tower is quite far from the Tower of London, and there are many other buildings located closer to the Tower than what Bishopsgate will be.Is it all about height then?Oh come on...

There is no tenant presigned? What is the London vacancy rate at the moment? Is it likley that a large spec. building will be constructed? Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Demolition of the smaller building on site is almost complete.

They'll be taking down Crosby Court (behind that yellow digger) next month.

Well the new planning application has been released, so it looks like they are serious in wanting to build it!

(Also, public resturant on the top floors.....YAY!!!)

The revised planning application. Height is unchanged 288m.
There will be a skylobby at floors 31/32. Not clear if publicly available.

Otherwise loads of infos about the construction details. They seem to be very serious about building it. Many other renderings on the website.
