-"a 2nd supertall for London!"

... Where's the first one?

Sorry lads, buildings under 1,000 feet don't make it into the "supertall" category anymore.

London's a massive city, why all the short buildings?

The first would be the long-awaited LBT at 310m , which is fully approved for construction and will begin when the current tenants on the existing site move out.

Basically it's like adding that Shaquille O'Neal bloke to the top of a regular 'skyscraper'

Wow, great new projects in and around the City. It's going to make Canary Wharf buildings look so square!

It'll be built. I reckon contrsuction will start in 2 years or so. By far the best proposal anywhere in the World right now. London will look like ******* Oz when it's done and obviously I don't mean Australia. As a Manc, I'm supposed to despise London, but by Christ's fat 'un, is this a beauty.

My very first reaction to that tower.

Helter Skelter.

Not trying to be downbeat but I would like some of these proposed and even approved towers for London to actually appear on the Skyline some day. I just get a sneaking feeling in the back of my mind they'll get cancelled due to some future unknown event, but then again my glass is usually half empty.
