We've not seen any renders as seen from the top of St. Paul's have we? I think that's because its going to look horrific from there! I place the first bet!

Not much is happening on site at the moment - just piling and foundation work - which will continue for some time to come. Trust me, when there's been a significant update, I'll post pics. I only post pics in the WDN when something exciting or significant has happened. Until then, there isn't much point showing pics because they'll just be the same as the previous ones!

Yes there are- check the UK thread. It looks like most of the other distance views from the west. So looks like you have lost your bet

Arab reaches Pinnacle of planning success

Property Week
06.03.09

Arab Investments has secured planning consent to revise its Pinnacle development

The property company, headed by Khalid Affara, will add terraced balconies to the top 15 floors of the 300 metre-high skyscraper in the City of London.

He said the terraces would be created between the curved glass outer structure and the main facade of the building. He has also agreed heads of terms with Pinnacle contractor Brookfield to take 15,000 sq ft of office space at the 63-storey scheme.

Pramerica Investors and Middle Eastern backers are among the investors that are financing the scheme.

I hear there's some great natural enhancement products out there for it to use

I love this tower, perhaps my favorite in London, and in Europe. I hope to see it completed, crisis or not

I dont think this is a good idea, i think this tower will make the city view look bad.

just look at the pic, just in one area, u can see timeline of historic architectural style, from classics, art deco, modern minimalist, post modern, and now even this, the tallest one!

just my humble opinion

Exactly. And that's not a bad thing. They're are very few places you will get such variation in such a small space.

And if you don't like the idea of the Pinnacle, I'm surprised you used that render to make your point. That is an amazing render, and makes the building itself look fantastic.

WOW! that will be terrific. London needs a bit more of a cosmopoloitan highrise feel to it and the balcony aspect will certainly add more of a selling point to this development. Looks great.
