Could anyone post a pic by the way? Sorry to ask.
At what stage is this at the moment?

just my humble opinion
Your post doesn't make sense. The Pinnacle will only add to the architectural variety you speak of.

rawkus thinks that architectural variety is a bad thing, which is stupid because architectural variety IS London.

What??? London isn't an open air museum. It's a living city. One that changes along with the people who inhabit it to suit their needs.

I've said it time and time again, but i just can't wait for these buildings, including the centrepiece - bishopsgate tower to rise. I think they'll do wonders for london's prestiege (if it isn't big enough already!) and yeah, i think what they'll eventually end up with is a lovely skyline for the City of London, with a cluster that looks just as good as LA's, if not better not only due to our superior achitecture, but because we have a nicely contrasting cluster over at Canary Wharf... I can only hope that LBT gets its own cluster in the near future!

It's a waiting game but im willing to stick it out

For people wondering.

2 of the obviously rendered towers in the London image are completed. (The Willis Tower and The Exchange Tower)
2 are cancelled/On Hold (Leadenhall 122 and the Minerva Tower)
2 are Under Construction. (The Heron Tower and the Pinnacle).

Are you sure you're not talking about Heron Tower? This one isn't off the ground yet.

It's not going to be ready until 2013, but hopefully superstructure/cladding will all have been completed by 2012, can't remember the exact shedule.

I think, if i remember the timeline scheduale correctly they said it would be topped out either late 2011, or early 2012. So long as it's underway and the superstructure rises relatively soon then im happy!

Unlike the Shard and the Heron they're doing the basement first, then beggining the superstructure. The Heron was so speedy because they did them at the same time, and i'm sure the Shard will rise at a good pace too, this one might take a little longer though, depends on how they build the floors i suppose.

Does anyone know if this tower has been pre-let to tenants or is it a speculative project?

Mostly speculative, though it has some prelets I believe, including the 4-story restaurant at the top of the building.
