some weeks ago they told:
they will built a 20 stories high core this year and one crane is moved to the edge of the steel so maybe they will work on that to,
so construction on full speed in this year if they will do that

Could I please reassure everyone that work is still well underway. Everything is happening out of view on the basement levels and ground floor slab. I work in the building next door and have a birds-eye view of the site. There was a major concrete pour today on the ground floor slab!

Yes, but please don't quote him. Now the website address stays here forever. Can you edit your own post maybe and delete those addresses?

Doesn't seem like a lot. The shard would cover 20 stories in a few months.

no i cant really agree.
20 stories is good because the steel work has to grow to i think that will go slower then the core. i think the floor plan of the pineaccle has more round shapes and more steel has to be done so it will go slower then the shard.

Is it me or the core looks oddly close to the street/future wall?

I think that's partly because of the sheer size of it. I have walked past it once or twice before and it is huge!

I don't think anything on Pinnacle, St George's or Leadenhall will start doing anything significant until September. The same with Fenchurch (but I don't really call that a skyscraper in my book!)

Until then, I think it's all about the Shard in terms of visuals, then we'll have 3 to be excited about at once come later this year and next year (Olympics too!)

Far too excited about this building! I need to calm myself as it won't be complete for ages yet.
