Yes, it looks bloated, obese, compared to the slim elegance of Bishopsgate and Leddenhall. I can't believe it's going to be built. If the wider public knew, surely there'd be an outcry.

You guys talk like nothing will ever get built after these towers go up.

Talk of a single building ruining a skyline which is still very much in development is ridiculous. Wait until more buildings fill in the gaps and then judge.

The design was originally quite a bit taller, but as usual, some(body) complained about the height and it was reduced, which has made it look much worse!

That could be a very long wait. It would be better if they built taller buildings first and then built it among them.

I hate 20 Fenchurch, and I sincerely hope that it won't take too long for it to be buried in a cluster of new projects so we don't have to look at it. It's bad enough Guy's Hospital is in such a prominent spot, London does not need another such abomination.

The best you'll get is a re-clad.

Wish people would **** off whining about Guys Hospital....

Its not going anywhere, its getting a reclad, as has been stated many times before.

Just remember the tens/hundreds of thousands of lives saved in that building over the years, not to mention ground breaking research in all types of diseases, which have probably helped to save the lives of loved ones of some SSC members all over the world....

...or SSC members who hate it that much could just make a cheque out to HM Government for £350 Million or so, to pay for its demolition, and the construction of a shiny new hospital.

Wasn't there another reclad proposal a while back? It put updated glass and some more metal facade. Personal I'd take either.

It's on hold at the moment as they're switching contractors.

Sorry for digressing but I perfectly know they are going for a reclad. I have nothing against a hospital I just didn't like how it looks. If you can't bear me whining about it in a forum it doesn't mean you should ask people to f*** off.

Anyway let's get back to business. Any new updates?
