Of course he loves it, what's there not to like?
He would love it even more if it was being built in Paris, though
for The Pinnacle, with this and the Leadenhall completed, the City cluster will be 1st class in Europe and the world.

I think you can go as far as saying that there's a strong potential for 5 or even 6 towers rising in near synchronisation (well, with overlapping construction timelines). This, Leadenhall, 100 Bishopgate, 20 Fenchurch street, Heron plaza and even the new residential tower beside Broadgate tower. The city cluster will literally double in size at once, it'll be an unprecedented time for UK skyscrapers

Seems the capital is the only place this is possible in the UK to be spoiled by so many talls plus a supertall in a time of financial downturn. Even at the time of the boom 4-5 years ago, none of these were being built and were still in early planning stages/disputes over viewing corridors etc etc. Good news on the tower btw, what i was looking to hear. I personally prefer this over the Shard.

That would be quite a sight. Popping up like in SimCity.

I think that's because London's property market is so detached from the rest of the country that as long as the global economy grows, demand in London keeps growing as well.

..indeed, you cant think of London as just a city in the UK, its more of a city state in terms of business and investment activity, its good for London as to an extent it will always be a very prosperous place and divorced from whats happening in the rest of the UK...of course the downside to that is that it has such an enourmous centre of gravity, it attracts development away from other UK cities...

And the both the housing shortage/commercial property shortage is particularly bad in London. The lower end of property market (including the middle class) is sometimes simply pushed out of the city because they can't keep with these soaring prices, mainly caused by foreigners pouring their wealth in the city.

I just hope the cladding will not turn out to be very dark blue. It's perfect as it's shown here.

You need a little patience, construction has been halted for a long time and preparation needs to happen before the building can rise. Concrete and steel needs to be ordered and most importantly staff need to be appointed back on the site. Don't expect and steel for another 2 months.
