The stadium looks small because of the overhangs of the upper decks.

This is designed in the same style as the Bernabeu and it has 96,000 seats:

Actually it has got just 25 rows. Allianz 3rd has got 18-24 rows
Camp Nou 5-36

Because of the suites the upper part is realy high

why didnt they have all four stands the same

the stand where the tunnel and dug outs are is nice but looks out of place

they should redevelop it so the stadium is consistent all the way round

1981/1982 (adding a roof and more seats. 90,000)

1990-1992 (adding 3rd tier 106,500)

1998: all seater 77,500

2002/2003: (Extending main / east stand and roof 80,354)

i think 2 tiers was the max. at the other stand (in the 1950s etc)
So instead of a 3rd tier they enlarged the 2nd tier of the main stand which had enough space behind it.

I attended a match in the SW corner of the 3rd tier last weekend. It was cool.

how are the sightlines?
can you see the lines when the fans stand?

I would say sightlines were better than expected. You really feel you are close to the pitch, despite having bought one of the cheapest tickets.

Nobody sat in the front seat but I would say you can see all the field besides the area of the corner.

I will try to make some pics, but match is at 2200 so I don't think I can take good ones. Hope we beat you
