Even Dubai is too busy to afford a runway shutdown. But they did shutdown a runway for repairs and upgrading. If a busier airport like DXB did it, why can't CGK?

Yes, I was agreeing with you

For example, the new airport (terminal) in Samarinda is almost finished, but they are still in the pre construction stage of the runway..
I heard there are some plans to "upgrade" the runways and other infrastructure, but nothing definite/official yet. Even when something is announced officially, changes are not uncommon. So yes, I think this is Indonesian. It's less of bad planning, but more of lack of planning ...

DXB handles more passengers. But in terms of aircraft movements, CGK is actually busier than DXB. A lot of CGK traffic are narrow-bodies, while DXB has more wide-bodies.

T1 going white really brings life to the terminal. The current scheme even though traditional makes it look dull and depressing. A great improvement and look forward to T2 receiving the colour scheme update.

Close observation of the aerial images raises the question surrounding the LCC Terminal. Do we know if there are plans to absorb the LCC concourse into the NEW T3 as it appears to be within close proximity.

If they make the new Terminal 3 a low cost carrier terminal than it would be easy to absorb the current LCC Terminal. If not then they leave it alone and build a walk way to connect it to the new terminal and the other terminals.

What I was referring to is the concourse which could easily become part of T3. With a large majority of traffic moving to T3 this could illuminate the need for the LCC Terminal by relocating those carriers to T2.
Was just a thought, I doubt this would happen.

the T3 ultimate terminal will be used by GA, Skyteam and all other international airlines i heard? I think they will include the current t3 (by renovating a bit) to the ultimate t3 to make it one beautiful terminal...

The current T3 (the LCC pier) will be absorbed into the new T3 Ultimate (GA and skyteam terminal). LCCs will vacate the current T3 to make way for the renovation works and be housed permanently in either T2 or T1 (TBC)

Such a megaproject. It looks like the length of the terminalbuilding exceeds 300 meters.
