Sears

^For a sense of scale, the tower in front and to the right are both ~ 1000 footers

Sears is so fookin' butch - its size and scale are simply awe inspiring.

How can people criticise it?! Its one of those towers that just shout

"If you mess with me, I'm gona nail ya to the wall, punk"

Its just too big, brash, solid, famous and down right scary to be the subject of any rational criticisim.

I think Taipei 101 is the ugliest skycraper ever built. how can they ever agreed with the design. Eeww.

I just LOVE the petronas tower. It's superb architecturally and though some find it overdesinged, i found it really elegant and detailed. Clearly depicts the islamic influence in the design well.

I have to say though the 2 international financial centre is very elegent as well. Simple and classy.

Jin Mao is a lil bit overdesigned (the cladding) and hence looks like a mess.

Dont care bout the sears.

1. 2IFC (Shape is sample, but elegant building)
2. Jin Mao (The top of building is like a crown, So beautiful )
3. Petronas (I can't found such tall twin building so far)
4. Sears (It look likes a Lego giant )
5. Taipei (A typical chinese pegoda)

2IFC I believe it fits in perfectly in context with the rest of Hong Kong and its simplicity and elegance make for a great skyscraper. Taipei, I think is nothing special and does not sit well with the Taipei skyline. Jin Mao and Petronas both have great geometry which for Petronas is a religious symbol and pretty complex. Although I'm not a big fan of Sears I think it is unfair for it to be in the same poll as towers that were built almost 3 decades later.

2IFC ist best, although Sears Tower is also one of my favourite 400+ skyscraper.
The only I dislike in this list is PEtronas Tower because it`s a shame that it is counted as a higher building than Sears Tower because Spire counts.

plus all these weird round shapes and balls on the top of it really make it look kind of crazy.
also, that hideous skybridge!

now think about this....what if instead of antennaes, which actually have a use, the Sears had spires? wouldnt it be taller than taipei 101? this is soooo stupid.

Whent i put Sears Tower and PEtronas next to each other, no one in the world would come on the idea that Petronas is higher!

Nothing against Petronas; I love this sky bridge for example; but the fact that it got the title "Highest skyscraper in the world" is simply wrong for me.

What is everyone's Johnson with 2IFC??????
I don't care for the design(those teeth on top are so strange) and in any case, it isnt that special. (the guy has several buildings that are somewhat similar) It has height.... But so does the rest of the list. I just really don't get the giant fan club for this building....

Sears for me.
