MMMMM, glassy

QV and 2SB are externally complete, so we can pretty much remove them. All in all, a great bunch of towers coming through.

Amazing! It is a miracle that such a huge country with only 20 million people (about same as NYC greater area), can built so many tall and supertall project in so many different cities... I don't understand, but it's great!

Can i sook now?

You have made realise just how crap Sydney's proposals are. So asian, so reflective, with great texturing and original aspects of design expressed in each.

I love the juxtapostion of the reflective glasses with pattern and colour - very effective.

Sydney is bland where Melbourne excels with more avant garde and infintely more interesting buildings.

^ crap av. 126 Phillip st in Sydney is superior to any new office develpment in melbourne! end of story. All the new melbournes office are great buildings but at end of day there all same construction technique- glass box concrete core or steel framed .nothing out of Ordinary!
Take 126 Philip st, it has a separate floor plate from service cre and 150m high atrium that runs full height of bldg with lifts chamber. Its interior is unique to Australia! Also topped with an incredible 100m architectural feature atop! When Melb gets a an office bldg like this ill get excited.
Also KENS/Westpac is an amazing bldg.
As for residential towers, yes Eureka is excellent (lol at 350m height), and maybe Vic point but rest are same old same old.
also 2 of them have finished construction- 2SBB & QV. youll have to add in Neo 200 & milano.lol

I think World tower is still finest residential bldg in OZ! hey it got 3rd best bldg in world 2004 voted by emporis editors!!!!
its all good! no fights.

Is it so that Melbourne is doing better now than Sydney with new high rises? It sure does look like that.
Great updates BTW. many thanks.

Good showcase of the major UC buildings. Cannot wait for the docklands to take off.

Should replace 2SBB and QV with one of the other towers, eiffle, Milano, Neo200. Anyway good stuff.

Awsome buildings - lots of glass and fantastic designs. Hopefully there will be some similar ones go up on the Gold Coast. Unfortunately Brisbane won't see anything like those anymore because Environmental Design principals are too strict - but in GC they are still pretty slack with what they let pass in terms of skyscraper design which is why there are still so many glass buildings under construction there.

I wish things were different in Brisbane and they could let some of those glass type buildings through - bring back the 80s I say.
