No, not in Toronto because we don't have enough funding for improvements to the system.

Both are completeley automatic metro systems....

Thats just scary. What if a train stops in the tunnell or a fire breaks loose? I dont like such stations at all. They look futuristic and nice, but safe, nono..

^They are made for security, so In think hey have thought about those problems too, and I bet the doors will open in case of fire.

Platform screen doors can easily be opened manually in an emergency from either side.

EDIT: ^... as far as I know.

Copenhagen has platform doors. The Turin metro will have them, too.
All VAL systems have them.

Copenhagen uses screen doors at platforms throughout its metro network (M-trains only).
