Pictures of my trip to Vietnam!!!

There are alot of pics, so I'll just start off with some of the construction and skyscraper pics first since this forum is "Skyscrapercity".

These 2 pictures are construction projects on the outskirts of downtown HCMC on my way back from Mui Ne Beach.

Here is a pic from my hotel room at the Palace Hotel on Nguyen Hue. I later stayed at the New World Hotel on Le Lai since my uncle got us a BIG discount. You can see the New World Hotel behind the tall building in this picture I posted. It is the yellow hotel.

And here are some pictures of Hanoi projects and skyscrapers. I was very surprised to see so many skyscrapers being built in Hanoi.

That is all for now, more will come later.

More pictures!

Traffic in HCMC

Red Mercedes

I regret not trying some other stuff here. I only had the french fries. I was intrigued by the name though

This street is narrow!

Cho Ben Thanh (Ben Thanh Market)

2 pictures from Vung Tau. I went with my aunt and my cousins and their kids.

Here is a BMW I saw in Vietnam. BMW's are my passion. Too bad I didn't like this particular one that much. But I was glad to see alot of BMW's in Vietnam.

I will post more pictures later. I will try to come back to Vietnam at least once a year. Vietnam now feels like a "home away from home" for me. I love it that much...

Do they have Bulgogi burger in Lotteria in Vietnam? :-)
Lotteria is the most popular fast food restaurant chain in Korea.

Hmm, I don't know really, I'm from America, and we don't have Lotteria over here. What is the country of origin for lotteria?

No I dont think so. Lotteria is really doing business in Vietnam currently like other franchise as Jollibee or KFC. More will coming after the entry to the WTO. BTW, a law for franchise is under way.

How come Vietnam doesn't have that many Bubble Tea (Boba) shops? The only place I saw was a place called TapiocaCup. In USA, the vietnamese-american area has alot of them. Has this trend not caught on in Vietnam yet? I bet opening up a shop could prove quite lucrative.

I ate out everyday. Most of the time at restaurants. The food in vietnam is good. REALLY GOOD! especially the seafood. The beef is not as good as american beef. It is very chewy in Vietnam.

In Hanoi, my favorite restaurant was "Le Tonkin"

In HCMC, I like a lot of restaurants. "Dai Thong" chinese restaurant is good

There is another chinese restaurant I went to twice. But I forgot of the name. It is in a shopping plaza and there is a KFC in the same shopping plaza. But the restaurant is really good. Anyone know this place??

I only ate Pho twice in Vietnam surprisingly. But "Pho Le" was good. I believe its on Nguyen Trai street in Q5.

I also went to "Que Huong" i think the name is. But they had AMAZING NUOC MAM!!!

Yeah, it was probably my favorite restaurant. Everything I ordered was good. There were absolutely no complaints about the food. Everything tasted fresh and hot. The rice is cooked in Coconut water, which was awesome!
