Looking very nice, though not too sure on the blade especially if the glass is fully translucent as it appears in some of the renders.

I wish the developers in London would hurry up with their projects...i mean we cant have the northeners beating us in the skyscraper construction league

Whereas most skyscrapers step in as they get higher ,this one steps out giving an unusal appearance which makes you think how can that tower stay standing? It does look top-heavy but it makes an awsome sight when your stood near it.

One of europe's best buildings built and UC.
It's realy impressive as the surroundings are not tall.

You would think a strong gale would blow it over, especially when you view it from side on, but it is a truly magnificent building. It would probably be dwarfed if it was in places like NYC or Dubia, but it stands supremely tall in Manchester. Nothing can come near it...yet

^it makes me laugh that the burj dubai is practically taller already even though its only just started

Had a beautiful view of the cheshire planes from my home the other day (Disley) unfortunately i didnt have a camera, but you can see the tower from miles away its very imposing on the skyline i love it!
Will try and get my brother to take a picture next time he goes walking in the pennines, im heading back to london tomorrow

The tower looks "average" but this is a sign of good things to come. It's only the beginning of more skyscraper development outside of the major cities in European cities.

The tower is very bold and has colour thats what i like most about it, i admit it's just a box but it's the best thing Manchester has seen and like people have said it's a very good start!

Topping Out Ceremony

Had no clue that there would be fireworks off the top of Beetham/Hilton.

Got a phonecall from the BF and rushed out to get a pic!

^ The fireworks were on for quite a bit too. Was really impressed considering it's only Beetham/Hilton. Hope there's another display when the tower is officially open. I'll get my tripod for that one. Took two short videos, but no where near as good as the pix. Enjoy!

Well, Beetham Tower won't remain as the tallest outside London or the tallest in Manchester for long! Inacity Tower has already got the approval by the planners and its set to be 188 metres tall. It's another shiny glass box heading for the Manchester skyline. INFO: http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=221761
