The tower is almost externally complete but there are problems with the blade,firstly the design was changed from a sheer glass wall to a slatted effect because of the stresses put upon it in high winds,but now this is causing another problem with a humming sound in windy weather due to the wind passing through the glass slats.Enginneers are still working on it.

I always think this tower looks taller than 171M due to it's profile,it also gives the impresssion its going to topple over in a forward direction. Induces vertigo when you stand under the overhang.It may not be the tallest in uk but it's the best after the gerkin(swiss re)

I dont think it is yet, but it will be once they get rid of all the paper inside the windows and finish it off completely.......when abouts will that be?

No they are only temporary,to protect the glass from getting damaged by the fitters. the vertical lines are permenant though.They will be removed just prior to opening late September/October

Well, I can clearly see some windows that are boarded up, as if someone smashed them.

What is the purpose of the big grid at the very top?
