I'm not too fond of this design, a bulkier single 400m building would look better.

Shouldn't this thread be in the construction updates forum? At least if they are now under construction.

interesting design, imo since its so tall it makes it look skinny but its quite an average width i think compared to other supertalls. Then again, I think i'm wrong.

i'm just saying that if there were a 650m tower underconstruction or even proposed i'm sure i would know if it...unless it was just released today.

As Eatmyshorts said if it was UC I'm sure we'd have already had a 500+ post thread about it.

BTW I'm not too fond of the design as it looks kind of awkward with that spire. It makes the tower look like the claws from that monster from HalfLife, ya know the first boss you fight.

It's supposed to echo mosque towers I guess? If so it might look better with four towers set farther apart (ala Hagia Sophia).

But anyway, one has to assume it's a fantasy because the floor plates vs. all the circulation core space necessary for such tall, uniformly thin buildings would make it impractical. You'd end up with more elevator/stair shaft than actual habitable space on any given floor.

any real news on this project, anyone know anything about personally i like it, and at 650m i like it even more, would be very surprised if this is UC, but is it approved or just proposed, or is it a 'thought' project?

I believe there was another thread that featured this, along with several other large scale concepts for Istanbul. I can't remember the name, but I did save some of the pictures. Here's the one of Bosphorus Tower.

I think the design needs some work. Looks too akward.

How is that skinny structure going to withstand the wind? It looks like an impossible design...an engineer's nightmare.
