Sydney opera House VS. Hong Kong Convention Centre

I think this should go in this forum instead of City vs City because we're not really comparing cities, just the building. And I'm not sure if this thread idea has been done before, if it has then you can blame it on the lack-of-a-search-function.

Enough of the bs...let's VOTE!!!

Which of these beautiful waterfront landmarks from each city is better?

Sydney Opera House

VS

Hong Kong Convention centre

I prefer Sydney's. Think it stands out way more and has a sleeker design.

Sydney. However, HK Convention Center has a better set of building as a background. Imagine the Sydney Opera House with The Central Plaza at the background!

Sydney by a longshot.

Hong Kong's is ok.

Both are ugly up close.

Sydney operahouse is much more distinctive, although HKCEC was very outstanding when it was completed in the 1990s. However, if you go up close, the SOH's greater age becomes more apparent in the architectural details. Its general shape, however, is destined to become a classic.

For iconic landmark building and innovation I go for Sydney Opera House, but for lighting and building itself Hong Kong Convention Center for sure. And I won't comparing for who is more classic, since classic is matter of time.
IMO Sydney Opera House need new lighting and more windows at bayside.

Sydney Opera House is very distinctive and one of the two icons of Sydney; the other being the Sydney Habour Bridge.
