To roof it'll be the same as the North Tower, 1368 feet/417 meters. The tower will have 69 occupied floors.

Here's the scan from the Post courtesy of NYguy of the Comcast Center comparison...

thats great!

at least there is some restoration of tower-power. Its really the best compromise to give back NY short of rebuilding twin towers or taller monsters.

Geez,,, all buildings look alike. If it looked like BOC or Taipei 101 or Bangkok's Elephant building then it would be more suspicious

emblematic of new york perhaps??? i mean if NEW EFFIN-YORK was still the baddest-a$$ mofo town of the world, does anyone really think they'd let this heap of steaming b.s. atop a 20-storey PEDESTAL become the reigning symbol for the city in this new century that's been thrust upon us??

With 69 floors are the floor to ceiling heights greater or are the podium, restaurant and indoor observation deck levels not counted? The roof level matches the 110 storied Twin Towers. I think the design blends with the New York skyline and maybe enhances it's relationship with the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.

The building is a total of 82 stories. 69 of those are office floors. The rest are restaurants, event spaces, observation deck, a number of floors for the TV broadcasters, and mechanical floors.

The podium itsself includes a 80 foot lobby with clerestory windows (the podium is not all solid it has windows) lighting it from above and includes a number of floors of mechanical space. In fact, a number of mechanical items that would normally be put on the top floors of a building have been moved down to the podium

Poor substitute
Pleasantville, N.Y.: The redesigned version of the Freedom Tower is still lacking. This structure does not replace what was lost on 9/11. Only by rebuilding the twin towers can we show that we can rise up again.

I think that it looks nice with the skyline, but it doesn't make much of a statement.

The design looks dull, however the spire looks good.

I'm actually Falling in love with this building, nice spire and people need to appreciate the glass that goes into this its sooo high yet the glass facade is complex and Newyorkish beautifull.

I agree. It has to be ‘Twin towers” in order to bring back NYC’s former glory that we all loved.

Had waaay too much time on my hands lol. I know it may be a little out of wack

these 69 are only office floors, there are +-100 floors, witch are 69 for office, a couple for observation and restaurants and mechanicle floors. and there is also a 60 metres tall base witch has +-15 floors. and there are a couple of sky-lobbies, so, all of them is around the 100 floors!

Those closeups of the spire look a lot like one of the designs for the Ganghzou Broadcast Tower. I can't find the pic, but one of the designs in that competition was almost identical to that spire!
