The new is a bit better than the previous, but it's not a great improvement though.

The old design was good enough, if not i would want a taller Freedom Tower with a new design.

If they had just done away with that skeletal-like lattice structure on the former "Freedom Tower", and filled it out up to the top, I think it would have looked much better than the current design. I liked the twisting parallelogram shape; far more creative and futuristic than the "revised" tower, which is just boring and sloppy.

But I'd still prefer to just have the Twin Towers rebuilt . . .

Safer, Bigger, Better

Any design with only one tower is a sign of weakness and defeat in my opinion. Two towers are needed to show that New York, America and the ideals of our civilization were not defeated on September 11th. Two taller towers will show that we are back with greater resolve.

The Twins weren't that boring, and they were considered futuristic at their time.

I think deferring to the old design would be a grave mistake! The new development Must be a redefinition of lower Manhattan. Come on! can anyone think beyond building two towers! JJJJJJJJJEEEZZZZ!

Yeah, well this ain't the 70's, pal. What was futuristic then ain't futuristic now. Still, rebuilding the original towers would be the biggest insult to terrorists everywhere.

doesnt anyone notice the horrendous glitch in one of those drawings. the freedom tower without the spire is just placed on top of another building, u have half a freedom tower and half a 1940's building.

The old Freedom Tower's the worst, the old WTC the best. I do like the new design of Freedom Tower much more now though.

Nearly everything is considered futuristic when it is built...the twin towers however weren't and were universally hated at the time. The NF was the best by far. But I like the newest design, it has a certain elegance about it. Donald Trump knows nothing about architecture and should keep his mouth shut. Nothing he has built is architecturally stunning, they are nothing more than glass boxes. I do like his Trump Tower in Chicago by SOM though. Rebuilding the Twins would be a form of ignorance to eras in architecture. You don't rebuild something from the 60's in the 21st century.
