well, opinions are just opinions. lol.

Our land happens to be in the Canadian shield which is so ROCKY and we need to do some ROCK BLASTING and LEVELING them just to build homes and skyscrapers. So we are literally a "BOOM"town in two ways. lol

Surely that's nighttime lows though. Edmonton can claim -35C and -44C but that certainly doesn't describe our winters.

They are more dense than Anchorage, believe it or not. it's because of Yknife's rocky terrain (located on the Canadian Shield) and permafrost. That's why Yknife gets almost the same number of buildings as Anchorage.

Don't worry. Yknife gets 30+C during summer. with humidex of around 40+C?. so no worries. but beware of tornadoes, even this north. lol

plus, coats and parkas are available anyway. so enjoy the auroras!

Inuvik, a town beside the Arctic Coast, gets 25+C, with humidex of 35+C.

I find it quite incredible that there are so many scores of 8/9 & 10 for this city. Regardless of its size, half a dozen 10 level boxes do not constitute a 10/10 skyline or even a 5/10 skyline.

There are no perfect cities so scores of 9 and above should only be reserved for places like NYC and HK. All it does show is how ridiculous these polls have become.

2/10

Nice collection of tallish buildings for a city that size, but it lacks a dense, built up core of lower buildings to prop up the skyline. It looks impressive from a distance though, so 7/10.
