They look quite nice indeed
Are there actually real differences between motorways and expy's in China like there are in e.g. Poland?

China doesn't use the word "motorway" in official terminology; however, expressways within cities are free and expressways (and sometimes regular roads) between cities are tolled.

normally they don't call it Motorway but highway and expressway are the same meaning in China. I assume 95% of the expressways are toll road since most of them were built in less than 20 years.

Ok, I see. I was wondering because most of these highways wouldn't deserve the title "expressway" in Europe, but "motorway".

It's a definition issue. Motorways, or freeways, are also called "expressways" in many eastern US states. In Europe, we usually see an "expressway" as a kind of road that's pretty much a motorway, but not yet completely. It differs from country to country.

Half a kilometer? That would be by far the highest bridge on the world.
(but I assume, that above figure is not correct)

It doesn't have any support on the ground though. It hangs over the valley, so it's not necessarily the highest in the world . Still high though

from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Gorge_Bridge
(321 m above river)
Quote:
The Royal Gorge Bridge is still the highest suspension bridge in the world, as well as the bridge with the highest deck-to-surface clearance.
