Has there already been groundbreaking for this building?

It looks like Midtown's skyscrapers are starting to creep further and further south. Im not sure If i care for the design. Its nothing breath taking and with the advertisements it looks like it should be in Times Square. Maybe someone from NYC could help me out. Will this building fit in with the surrounding area or stick out?

Target, I mean Tar-gete next to Versace. That's classy.

Simple. It may work well. I like it.

..but yeah, being in construction updates section, has it started yet?

I'm not so sure this is approved or starting soon. We seem to know very little about it.

The retail base is already built. It looks nice, and it doesn't have all those advertisements on it. The tower itself is what I would call a "conservative but glass beauty" that would probably rise 700-750 feet b/c it's residential. As for fitting in, this area around Madison Square Garden/ESB has very few modern skyscrapers. But it will surely change with the new Hudson Yards projects. So this could be the first of many large glass towers. I think it'll fit in nicely.

But like I said we seem to know very little. This could be an old propsal for all I know.

I rather like it. I wonder how much a unit will be. I read somewhere that the MEDIAN price for a home in Manhattan is about $1.3 million now.

WRONG

that is not correct...the Penta Hotel Stands Now here... ^ you are referring to the H&M retail space on 34th st....which is only 1/2 of the block frontage, this project on the other hand will be located on 33rd st right across from Madison Square Garden.!

Vornado, the name sounds familiar. Are they the owner of the tall tower near Madison Square Garden?

anyway, this new project looks cool...wondering if it will actually have Target there.

penta hotel...?? don't you mean hotel pennsylvania or is this a hotel next door to that? I sure hope so... Hotel Pennsylvania as a building and amount of rooms is too important for nyc tourism imho!
That one redering looks like its build next to hotel pennsylvania

The design looks pretty good An 60 stories ain't that bad huh!

Regardless this shouldn't be here b/c it's nowhere near construction yet. It's still an idea and no one even knows for sure the exact site!
