SM MOA dimensions

HI, I'm from Canada I've been to West Edmonton Mall (the former largest mall in the world) but I'm not very impressed with it. It's big but because of the big waterpark and indoor theme park plus the giant acquarium where there's dolphins and submarines... it's not a mall mall, it's an entertainment centre...it's not the best shopping area...We in the Philippines have far better malls than in north America especially the SM malls...I haven't been back home there since 1998 but I'm sure there are other great malls there too that have been built.

I have a question though to forumers in the Phils.

"What's the approx. if not accurate dimensions of the SM Mall of Asia?" in meters
the length and width

I know the size of its floor area has been talked about but can someone give me a close to accurate dimensions of it, please...Thanks... can someone post more pictures please and maps of SM MOA.

As much as I love the Philippines, some people need to take it easy with their praises of whatever is being posted here. A good example is the rendering on a blurry blueprint above hehehe. Just an observation!

Not to start a war or anything (I hope not!) but I gather that many Filipinos are insterested in the numbers involving a lot of 'mysterious' large malls in KL. HOwever information is hard to find and I have painstakingly gathered some infos here:

Malaysia

1) Berjaya Times Square = 7.5 million gross floor space/built-up | 3.45 million lettable/retail area | 1000 stores

- The largest 3D IMAX screen in South East Asia
- Indoor themepark with a 800m long roller-coaster
- 9-screens Cineplex
- 4500 parking bays
- 56 lanes bowling alley
- 2 exhibition and convention halls
- Integrated KL Monorail station (Imbi Station)

website: http://www.timessquarekl.com

2) 1 Utama = 5 million gross floor space/built-up | ??? lettable/retail area | 600 stores

- 20-screens Cineplex
- 7000 parking bays
- 36 lanes bowling alley
- Rock climbing gym
- Free shuttle bus service to nearby Putraline LRT station (Kelana Jaya station)

website: http://www.1utama.com.my

3) Sunway Pyramid = 2.5 million gross floor space/built-up | 0.9 million lettable/retail area | 350 stores

- Indoor Olympic-size ice-skating rink
- 10-screens Cineplex
- 5000 parking bays
- 48 lanes bowling alley
- exhibition and convention hall
- Integrated Sunway Monorail station (Sunway Pyramid Station)

- Sunway Pyramid expansion update = 1.5 million gross floor space/built-up | 0.7 million lettable/retail area | 300 stores

- 5000 parking bays

website: http://www.sunway.com.my/pyramid/

4) Midvalley Megamall = 4.5 million gross floor space/built-up | 1.7 million lettable/retail area | 420 stores

- 18-screens Cineplex
- 7000 parking bays
- 38 lanes bowling alley
- Integrated KTM Komuter station (MidValley Station)

- Midvalley expansion update - The Gardens @ Midvalley City = 1.83 million gross floor space/built-up | 0.8 million lettable/retail area | 200 stores

- Integrated KL Monorail station
- Walkway to Putraline LRT station (Abdullah Hukum Station)

I don't know why but this mall to me is just big and regular. When I see Siam Paragon of Bangkok, Taipei 101 mall, or Hong Kong's IFC mall I go wow. Those mall have class and look or is upscale this mall is just odd looking.

Well I know you guys have some pretty nice malls, but I just think this SM mall of Asia isn't the best in the Philipines.
