you'll eat your words anytime soon... it just so happened that our MALLS here in the Philippines are lightyears better than your mall in your own country!

Thanks myx.

Credits to Area51 for this pic. It's a clearer version of the second image which was previously posted.

[QUOTE=Area51]Actually the guards were giving me some bad looks when I took the second picture, so I had to take the photo using my phone, haha. But here's a clearer photo of the outdoor dining areas. The ground floor is mostly for Restaurants while the second floor is reserved for Beauty Treatment Shops such as parlors, skin clinics, some optical shops and the like.

Posted by Thomasian in the MoA thread in the Philippine Forum.

The first pic will house BPO Offices. The second pic is a trade hall and convention center. Both structures are part of the Mall of Asia complex.

The design is almost DECONSTRUCTIVISM. I don't think deconstructivism existed in the 80's. hehehe.

Why don't you check the architecture of the big malls in other Asian countries.

Peace!

omgosh...so what if it looks like 8o's

nowadays...its all eclectic.... they are reviving everything...

...everyone is re-inventing designs, art-deco, classical, neo-classical, post modern, etc.... i mean it's not like we haven't seen the forms and shapes of the designs of other buildings....say petronas = stupa, taipe101 = pagoda....so everything is a redesign of everything....so i don't know why you people are complaining! if you don't like it...shop somewhere else....

and malls are not all about looks! it's profit!! even if a mall is the ugliest thing you have ever seen...what if it's the most popular, where everyone goes, and what makes the city lively, and if it brings profit..then why not..build me some 2o more of these....
...even if you build 20,000,000 glitzy and glamorous malls, if they make no money and they're just all pretentious, then no thanks!

You nailed it with that statement but hey, we have different perspectives and usually share different insights and perceptions when it comes to human works.
