it is a quality structure, nothing less for London, and plus, the area seems incredibly dense whilst having a lunch break in the public space. when this is done, it'll be top qal

The main core slab has been poured, also another tower crane is being constructed. I reckon the main core will start to rise this week

I think this will actually look better in real life than in the renderings. The one thing the renders don't seem to capture too well is the quality of the buildings around this. It is no exageration to say that if 122 Leadenhall and Bishopsgate are built this spot will house one of the best collections of architecure in the world. Aside from Rogers masterpiece and Swiss Re there is a Lutyens bank (a Foster of the late Victorian), several quality churches and lots of top end neo-classical Victoriana. Nearly every building around there is remarkable in some way.

And there is even some superstars long since gone. Where Lloyds now stands the East India Company had their headquarters from which large chunks of the old empire were run. After that went bankrupt and the building became derelict Lloyds had their first building before the present incarnation. There must be hell of a cross over of ley lines there of something!

The smaller building must be topped out already then - only 8 storeys.

I don't think this is the final, approved scheme with two buildings. No-one has posted here a rendering of that. Maybe none were released? Does anyone here actually know what the smaller building will look like, or know its height?

The core is only 7 floors above ground.

Thats the design for the building Jake, the old design was connected to the main tower.

2 basement + 8 above ground + 1 mechanical floor up top = 11
