My London pics (a bunch of them!)

Hi guys, I was flying to London on July the 7th but I had to postpone it for well known causes when I had already checked my luggage in. However, I managed to fly the 9th (some bloody terrorists are not gonna spoil my holidays ).

It's been 5 days instead of the 7 I had planned but still I've enjoyed it a lot, so I wanted to share my pics of really hot London.

Oxford Circus:

Regent Street:

View of Piccadilly Circus from Regent Street:

Fountain at Piccadilly:

I love London's Underground logo!

View towards St James's Park and houses of the parliament

Typical Piccadilly Circus:

Behind the underground exit, the huge Virgin Megastore:

Enough of Piccadilly, we turn to the left through Pall Mall towards Trafalgar Square.

Trafalgar Square:

Charing Cross Road:

...some streets around...

the city is still shocked by the miserable terrorist attacks, although Londoners keep their pride up as it might be

some more people watching

some surprises

we arrive at Covent Garden (plenty full of people, BTW)

I love these typical British red brick buildings...

Millenium Wheel (AKA London Eye)

Views towards Big Ben, from the pedestrians bridge over Thames, near Charing Cross and Enbankment:

From the other bank

Statues in front of Dalí's exhibition in Saatchi Gallery:

Saatchi Gallery

Whitehall, Nelson at the back

Big Ben at our back

a pub at Whitehall

people watching

Trafalgar again, the spitting image of Nelson:

view of Piccadilly from Regent Street

more pics of my beloved Piccadilly Circus:

Carnaby Street and two streets in Soho

why do brits like walking barefoot on the streets? (take no offense, brits, u r still cool! )

I had to take these, I'm a tourist after all

no jokes at the boss' residence. a lot of bobbies around

more touristy shots

Bank:

Bank and Swiss RE

My small town of 40,000 has its only limo company with about 6 cars.

P.P.S
I wonder that they are doing with the samsung sign and piccadilly....changing it I hope, its been there like 10 years.

WOW!
One of the best london collections ive ever seen!
Gave me a muhc better view on the place!
THanks so much!

Ahhh
I can see myself so well, walking around these alleys in the mid 1600's-

a drunken old toothless man, going to the next pub to drink a pint!

Amazing Pictures - I know it sounds bad because Im an avid Birmingham lover, but ever since my first trip to London I always promised myself that once I had enough money I would move there. These have just re-inforced my love for the place. Im tyring to find pennies as we speak. Londons streets are the best anywhere, the colour in them and just the fun of the place is unmatched unless you go to other big cities in Britain and of course Dublin. Pubs - People try but you just cant copy a traditional British tiffy Is that one pub in your photos near whitehall close to a major train station? It looks familiar. Did you go in? was there pool tables on the top floor?

The pub is just 100m. from Trafalgar Square. We didn't make it to come in, that day Londoners were celebrating the anniversary of the end of WW2 and the pubs in the area were crowded.

The trip was fantastic despite the heat (hey, London was hot like hell and we didn't have a single drop of rain! ), since we had already been there twice before we could focus in the areas and activities we had previously enjoyed the most. British way of life is just wonderful and in many cases an example to others, and that's one of the reasons I was visitting London for the third time in my life. I as well know Birmingham and Coventry in UK.

About London vs other places I know, I must confess I travel less often than I'd liked to, so the only other main European city I know so far (besides Madrid, obviously) is Paris. Although I consider Paris just more beautiful than London and a must if visitting Europe, it just lacks something London definitely has got. Paris makes you feel like you're in a huge museum while London gives you that vibrant feeling that encourages you to join the city and be a part of it. It's just something I usually fail to explain, but let's say that London has something special that other cities despite being amazingly beautiful just don't have.
