Some Mumbai Airport Pix

I was in the new terminal for the first time earlier this month. Damn !!! It
is way cool. Next step : get rid of the touts outside offering to illegally
exchange forgeign currency.

These were taken with a camera phone so please do not mind the
crappy resolution.

And I even figured out how to post an image

Talking Oops...my plane is going to have a flat tire....??!

On a lighter note, I was rather alarmed to see a "spare tire" being loaded onto my plane from Chennai to Trivandrum. With the recent spate of tire bursts, this didn't seem to bode well....

Fortunately, it turned out the spare tire was intended for an Indian aircraft stranded at Tvm after some undercarriage malfunction...whew!

Thats a suprise!! Thought those buses were foreign made but that is great news. Good looking swish modern buses is what India needs whether at airports or cities. I also like the new Volvo buses in India too. Now if other airports have those buses that would be another improvement. Indore airport looks interesting, very clean, neat and tidy. Glad the Airports in Mumbai & Delhi are in private hands as they need definetly need modernising.

I'm pretty sure I've seen KingFisher use Tata Starbus low floor buses and Jet Airways use busses like pictured above at Mumbai.

And just a few metres away, outside the airport, an altogether different style of Ashok Leyland buses can be seen. That would be an infrastructure shock for a first timer.

The only landside pics are in my previous post. Also you can see more pics in the showcase gallery uner the Kolkata Trip and Few Hours in Delhi threads. Will post them here later.
