Hannover - my photos

Hello Germans, I was looking for threads about Hannover but couldn't find any here. I visited the city the other day, and I've made a thread with my photos in the Cityscapes and Skyline Photos section. You can find my thread here if you're interested > My Hannover photos.

I have been to Hannover basically every week last year. But still, I don't really like that city.

There is just not much to say about the city. The big one in the north is Hamburg...

I love most cities in West Germany, but not this one.(Niedersaschen is the worst state in Germany)

HANNOVER IS SUCK--- Looks more to Ost than West.

Hannover sucks because it has been one of the most bombed citys in germany. After the war they started to pull out all money from lower-saxony to build ugly big streets in the old city. Most people think that lower-saxony is ugly because they only know Hannover.

It is full of contrasts,like Frankfurt.Hannover is ugly,but not that ugly you all think about.Visit the area of the new stadium with all its parks and next to it the huge Maschsee.
As far as I know the city center is disliked by hannoveraners itself.The vibring neighborhood of Linden is more seen for shopping and so,a lot of old buildings are up there.

Hannover hat im letzten Jahrhundert alles getan, um möglichst hässlich zu werden. Scheint wiedermal irgend ein Wettstreit zwischen Hannover und Braunschweig zu sein. Warum baut man mitten im Centrum direkt in der Fußgängerzone mitten auf einer Straße einen einen hässlichen Bürobau? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie die Straße genau heißt, aber ich glaube das ist die Karmarsch Straße.
Hannover wurde schon nach dem Krieg total fehlgeplant. War ja auch klug neue breite Straßen im Centrum zu bauen, damit die Menschen im nächsten Krieg vor den Bomben auf die Straßen flüchten können.

Hannover is not uglier than other cities. It has its share of nice and ugly buildings.....which city doesn't. People who don't know the city well enough should not be as hateful. Hanover has a lot to offer and has the most beautiful town hall in germany. It has more parks than any other german city and has great modern as well as historic architecture. Of course have there been some mistakes when the city was rebuilt, but
the city tries its best to undo them. Unfortunately Hanover is not as rich as Hamburg, Frankfurt or Munich, so it takes more time.

Hanover is better than its image we just don't shout it out als loudly. We are just not braggars.

And BTW Lower Saxony is not Germany's worst state. I don't like rankings like that anyway, but I know that no state is Germany is as diverse as Lower Saxony. We have the North See with its beaches and islands, we have the Lüneburger Heide, the mountains in the Harz and the hills of the Leine- and Weserbergland. In between large agrticultural areas nad lakes like the Steinhuder Meer. Lower Saxony has great cities like Hildesheim, Braunschweig, Celle, Lüneburg, Osnabück, Goslar.

Gee, I dunno guys, it looks nice to me.

If you want to see a really ugly city, go to Phoenix or some place like that.

ive been to phoenix, hannover and offenbach and all i can tell is offenbach takes the cake
