Adelaide - Australia

The smallest of Australia's five cities with a population greater than one million, Adelaide isn't exactly big or tall but is famous for its squares and parklands.

If you frequent Ozscrapers, you would have seen these in my "Adelaide Photos" threads.

The skyline is fairly average IMO. Most of the skyline is low-rise with a few taller buildings now and then, but the skyline needs to go up.

7/10

Somewhat boxy and stunted - but this city shows you don't need a tall skyline to have a great city!

6/10

The Adelaide City Council is full of NIMBYs who are scared of anything that casts a shadow, which is why we don’t have many talls, but helps the density in the inner-city.

Not a skyscraper city in the real sense, but it is definitely very beautiful in many aspects. It has also always been the most elusive Australian city for me, as all other major cities in OZ get more coverage than Adelaide. Hell, even Darwin gets more coverage around the world.

It's pretty short and boxy, but it is relatively dense (with short buildings) and I see a crane in that last pic... I forget what I gave it cuz I voted for it a while back but I think it was somewhere between 6 and 7.

Adelaide looks OK. Decent skyline for a city that
doesn't seem to be a financial center. I gave it
a 6.5/10.
I've been to the biggest 4 cities of Australia and
thoroughly love each one of them. Someday, I will
have to make it down to Adelaide.

not too many dazzling scrapers. But enough. Not too tall.

6.5/10

Adelaide's a lovely city and has many good points. But this poll is about rating the skyline and on that score, the best I can give it is 4/10.
