sorry effer,

i don't have pic about this "Victoria Harbour Gate", you can look at the image captured by ywkywk in this thread.

it is a commercial released about 2 months ago by Sun Hung Kai Properties(HK's biggest & Asia's best developer) selling the concept of "Harbour Living". SHK involved in both the project of IFC & US7(ICC). In the pic, you can see each giant building are standing on each side of the Victoria Harbour, looks like a gate guarding the harbour. so gorgeous! but the image of US7(ICC) is just animation as it is now far from completion, still at a very low level. hop you enjoy it.

Doesn't mean to offend you. The ICC you made seems to be shorter than it actually should be. It should be about 80 metres taller than 2IFC

It looks as tall as 2IFC because it is much far away from the camera than 2IFC in the above pic,so it looks shorter than you expected.

I look forward to the day when Kowloon has a skyline as impressive as Kong Kong Island. These days people go to Tsim-Sha-Tsui to view Hong Kong Island's skyline but perhaps one day people will cross to Hong Kong Island to view the Kowloon skyline from the new promenade being reclaimed from the Harbour.

Very nice pic!

This pic was taken from a mountain in the East, I wonder how it will look like from the mountains in the West....

Its amazing how much "taller" Kowloon is getting- especially when Union Square is complete. IMO, I hope Hong Kong will have the better skyline because it has the backdrop of the Peak, several landmark towers, and is just more famous.

Yes, it may be true that residents will go to HK Island to view the Kowloon skyline from the waterfront promenade being reclaimed but... won't people do that anyway, like even today?

Plus I thought Kowloon wasn't going to build that tall of buildings because it would block the view of the peaks in the background?

I've heard they want to build midrise residentials on the former airport.

I have no idea of the definition from Government.
Since most of the new residential estates in HK now is around 50 storeys. I guess if an apartment building lower than 30+ something storeys would be qualified as mid-rise.

It's just a rough guess. Could any HK forumers answer Monkey's question accurately?
