I'd be happy to see some action at Lumiere, still nothing going past today.

Also nothing yet at Greenbank, they are going to get way behind schedule, it'd be good to see Greenbank and Latitude go up together as they will both help support each other.

AEDAS!!! Lets hope they get it as right as BWP, if so we have nothing to worry about... it seems like they have a good and extensive portfolio after checking out their website. We need to hope it will be good because this will really tower on the skyline at around 100m, and will dominate the West end of the city!!!

Aedas are a top rate architectural practice, they should come up with something good.

That would probably explain why insider00 maintained a few months back that Aedas were the architects on this scheme rather than Allies and Morriosn, who must just be the architects for the offices.

Anyway, progress is still fast as ever on Office block Red.

I came past the site on the train this morning and noticed that there is some major excavation under way elsewhere on the site. The digging is taking place almost immediately in front of the abandoned railway viaduct, alongside the Leeds to London line.

Good news, sounds like they are starting the next office block (no 2 of 4). According to recent reports about the shortage of grade A space in the next 12-24 months, these should be prime offices and let well.

laughable that TCS's risk adverse approach to their site is being exploited by HBG. I sounds like a broken record, but the site will be up and running in a year no doubt, very quick delivery and they have a pipeline to go with for the next few years as well. Even the Wellington Place scheme seems to have been usurped by HBG and their speed out of the blocks. Thanks for the photos.

I think this is to do with services from what I saw this morning, possibly in advance of the residential elements getting underway in accordance with what Mikeleeds said above. There were loads and loads of pipes and connector bits laid out near the railline.

Progress on Red.

Nothing to add to what Even Flow posted but yesterday was such a lovely day, it seemed a pity to waste it.

I know that, when this development began, some forumers were concerned about it crowding right up to the canalside. The last shot above doesn't show it as well as I'd hoped but there's quite a generous margin between the office block and the water. It looks as though there's going to be a terrace at street/ground floor level and steps down to a canalside walkway.

I was one of the concerned, and I"m sure it will still crowd over, however, the opening up of a path and route through will be an improvement on the last 20 years at least where its been closed off and overgrown. My Dad recalled that you could walk along there in his day (born mid 1940s).

Its cracking along, the steelwork could be completed within a couple of weeks at this rate.

Big fat nothing going on at Green Bank then? Parp.

Here's a view of the site from an unusual angle. You can see some old tiled cellars from Monkbridge begining to be un earthed.
