Thanks Madurai for the picture.
I think they are getting ready for the 'float festival' (Theppa thiruvizha) to take place in Jan/Feb . Nice to see water in the tank, and boat ride literally in the heart of the city. They made good use of the flood waters in vaigai river. P.S : They underground channels from the river to fill this 16 acre lake was built as early as the 17th century. |

Hava valley, Madurai
Hava valley is located on the Natham road in the outskirts of Madurai. This place is filled with natural beauty with the hills in the backdrop. It houses a restraunt and also a go-kart track. An ideal place for people to relax from the hustle and bussle of the city life.

I was there in Hava valley some 5 yrs back. At that time a drive at the go-karting circuit was really costly. I think it was 100 Rs for less that 10 mins.
