I found the above foto in www.flickr.com. You can also find fotos at www.pbase.com. Its sad that none of the Madurai forumers are actually in Madurai. If anyone is planning to visit in the near future please take fotos of the some important landmarks and buildings.

Where in Madurai is this road?

Quote:
A view of the beautiful roads with vegetation on either sides. This was shot from the Van that i was picked up from. While driving to the Marriage Hall from the Airport the scene was quite beautiful. I loved the non chaotic life of madurai especially while driving down this road. The cattle, the trees everything was fantastic.

My guess is the Sivagangai road between Madurai Aavin and Anna nagar 80 feet road.

It should be Dindigal Madurai By-Pass closer close to Cholavandan.

Ya i too think the same, it must be the kappalur region. Cos you can see the railway line running parallel and at the top of the pic it looks like the bridge at the ring road -NH 7 junction.

West Perumal Maistry street

This street and the nearby areas are completely filled with hotels and accomodations. The Railway station, Meenakshi temple and Periyar bus stand are at a walkable distance from here.
