Nice pics, i can see this building has some potential. I can imagine all the greenery going in that void area will look quite nice. Going along with trvlr, is that space totally private or what?

The last I heard was that the space wasn't actually going to be accessible to anyone. I still find this so hard to believe and will be very curious to see what really ends up happening with it.

The sales center (a couple of years ago) told me that the void was going to be for the residents to use, and it was to include a dog run.

They will say almost anything to sell a unit, and Smithfield is notorious for it.

A few years ago when this was announced we got into some arguments about the height of the building, but I think this is probably a perfect fit for that spot.

I'm holding final judgment until the windows are all installed.

So - just a tiny bit of news to report; make of it what you will. The lights had been turned off at MoMo for the past several weeks, and now, they have been turned back on. Not sure if this is an indication that work is close to resuming, but, I thought it was worth reporting nonetheless.

This past Thursday, when taking a bunch of pictures, I noticed workers inspecting some of the boarded up windows.

I noticed yesterday afternoon that they were installing windows again on the Randolph side of the building. From Retrograde's last pic it looks like there up 2 floors.

Wasn't even planning this, but since I suddenly found myself with a perfect angle for shooting "the hole", here you go: (apologies for the iffy camera phone quality)
Southeast corner:

Looking through to Block 37:

Thanks for the great shots. Boy, some lucky residents will have access to some amazing B-B-Q's up there. View of Block 37, ABC news studio, feet away from the Chicago Theater, across the street from Mar...Macy's.
