[District Thread] Tsing Yi

Tsing Yi is an island off the shore of Tsuen Wan district and across the water from Nina Tower. The north and east sides are residential areas while the southeast edge is industrial (container port and fuel holding areas). The terrain is rugged and hills rise above and around the urban development.

I live in Tsing Yi when I am in HK. One thing to mention is the ULTRA long Waterfront Promenade Park. It is just so relaxing to go there! It's also very clean and new. Also, the mountains have hiking trails. It is just like a whole Island with both urban and rural landscape.

Tsing Yi is primarily residential and industrial although most of the flats in the island are housing estates.

The Maritime Square is the best known mall in Tsing Yi since it has access to the MTR. It's an interesting mall where there's a section where it gives you a feel of old Hong Kong

Before Tsing-Yi was off the beaten path but today, if you're entering Hong Kong from the airport, you have to pass by Tsing Yi
