U must be very silly to say tht.. There is no weird thing here. Its very common, juz is tht u r too familiar with groundview all the time. Once the inner lifts shaft is constructed, u ll get amaze by its core's might.

jacks, that's exactly correct, now that the specialized formwork for the lobby area, (welded connections, etc.) are complete, standard floor framing can begin, this will be much faster, and also the floors will get smaller around the 20th or 30th floor, which in turn will again increase the erection timetable

And the arial shot , down the core. that's tight.!!!

yes i am a stupid idiot.
actually i did say the core is mighty (oh no i said huge what a difference), i am familiar with towers UC and seen from above, but nevertheless the outer walls seem to be quite thin.
so stop insulting people, ... i should use dubai_boy's 'think twice before posting' here.

Well, be mindful of your words here. You r too young to judge our wisdom. If u feel insulted, i m sorry. Itz just that u din realize u love to incite hateness among forumers. Ah yeah, dont use others to get u out, it wont work. This is a teaching lesson solely to u. I dont insult others except to you. Look at your own mirror, b4 u speak about morale!

Great Updates though. Were those taken from Jin Mao Tower?

I'll second in that it's interesting how the core looks from above. It just seems so huge compared to the rest of the building but I'm sure we'll know what's going on sooner or later! Thanks for the updates!

The core will probably get smaller for the office floors, especially the higher ones. Otherwise there won't be enough office space to justify the insane height.
And they haven't done any floor plates for the above-ground floors. Once some of those are done, it'll rise very quickly.

When this tower was first annouced it was top notch, a great design, if a little cold and sterile looking, but a great design none the less, and of course a WTB back then.

But with the years and the delays and the design changes (none of which have improved it's appearance) this tower has become increasingly unremarkable to me, especially with the emergence of the ultratalls from Dubai.

I think, in the end, it'll be a bit like Jin Mao, a nice 'also ran', but a tower that never really sat in the spotlight for very long.

SWFC is just a little too short and a little too late to be 'great' tower, if you know what I mean.

No, i do not know what you mean.

This tower will be one of the best and all the towers whereever in the world will not change that. It is great in height and in design despite the fact that there are bigger buildings u/c elsewhere.

^ I suppose the fact that we've been waiting so long for it takes the edge off the excitment abit. It's more a case Wow - it's finally being built as apposed to Wow - it's being built. Still a great tower though.
