a bad bad move , the only solution is to change the red circle on the Japenese flag to square to save the circle design on this piece

Why do you care what people care or not?

Because you are not Chinese, you won't felt the thing what Chinese people are feeling now! A terrible history between Chinese and Japanese is unforgettable until now.
The sun, moon and the earth is round as you said is right! But SWFC is built by Japanese unfortunately. A circular hole becomes a symbol of Japan as Chinese people thought.

I would imagine it's not most people in China. Just a select, idiotic, few. You get people like that in every country.

Please explain to me how the Japanese are building Shanghai World Financial Center? Is it the developer? the construction company? Because it certainly isn't the architect, who is American Kohn, Pederson, Fox.

It's not as select of a few as you think. Chinese nationalists make American neo-conservatives seem almost placid.

The whole we-can't-forgive notion is a tragedy in itself, hampering the future welfare of both China and other nations. Why can't they learn to "forgive but not forget"? Quite pathetic considering many of today's Chinese youth repeat the mantra due to indoctrination and not firsthand experience. Oh, and voices of reason are branded as unpatriotic; Hermann Goering was right about that one. We all have a bit of Nazi in us.

I just had a mental picture of Swiss Re being built in America, and John Ashcroft ordering the building to be squared off because it resembles an oversized *****. The issue under scrutiny is this ridiculous; the symbolism is completely out of hand.
