I love the buildings in Shanghai but don't you guys think the buildings are kinda far apart? Some of their lot look as if they can fit more than one skyscraper.

WOW great shots, and a third crane on the way, this tower will lose one crane as the floor area reduces, (half way up) i'll bet. And what a mighty base on this one,

OH !!!, and as far as adding a few meters, I don't have any "inside" info, but i'm damn sure this one will be 500+ meters at top out, i mean 2 + 2 is 4, right..!!!?????

When it comes to skyscraper stats journalists almost never get it right, but I've never seen anyone get it wrong in such a bizarre and inexplicable fashion as this:

Quote:
However Taipei 101 wont be the world’s tallest building for long. The Shanghai World Financial Centre, with a projected completion date of 2009, will have a ‘Freedom Tower’, rising to 541m, 33 more than Taipei 101.
It's from an article about Taipei 101 from the travel section of my local newspaper (Townsville Bulletin). I put the whole article in T101's ROT thread if anyone would like a read.

Whoever made article that is an idiot.
He must have meant freedom tower in New York, since its 541m. Idiot.
Also, isn't the Burj Dubai scheduled to be completed in 2008, it's really annoying how everyone says the freedom tower will be the tallest. Even if it finishes before, it will be beat by at least 200m in less than a year.

well to be fair the freedom tower will never have anything, its not even underconstruction yet, and burj dubai is already at around 50m, say they start building freedom tower tomorrow, when its finished itll still be 50m shorter than burj dubai.
