Jesus...why do people think a good skyline has to be a mini New York/Hong Kong? Judging cities like Boise with the same criteria one uses for places like Sydney, LA, Chicago etc is just ridiculous. If everyone's going to do that...why don't the admin guys just shortlist the table to include the top 20?
Boise is a small city in the middle of a sparcley populated state. Quite how anyone's thought of building up when there's so much space and land around deserves credit. Great scenery, great aspect, modest and unpretentious skyline: 7/10 |

Hamnet, I have to agree with you totally. Boise has a pretty good skyline in my opinion. I give it a 7/10. For where it is located and the size, its modest. Just because certain cities don't have the sheer numbers and sizes of the giants doesn't mean its bad. And IMO, natural settings is very key to a city's skyline looks. Any skyline doesn't look good if you put a blank white screen behind the buildings.

The skyline isn't very stunning. My sister and my cousin live there now becuz of college, and when I went to go see my cousin in June, I was bummed. It was almost a joke from where I come from, it was in the classification of Pasadena. But hey whatever, it's alright for a population of 130,000.

I give it a 7. Compared to other NW cities its size (Eugene and Salem), Boise is quite impressive.

If you think this skyline is good for a city of its size, wait till you see Yellowknife. This skyline sucks.

Doing good for a city of such small population, has a nice well-formed cluster, but too much emptiness surrounding it. |

Boise is the "city of trees" and that's about it. As for the skyline, many trees are taller than it's buildings. It is a nice city though.
