they wanted to do one, but after some reflections they decided to open the terminal without a ceremony. the Terminal 2 was supposed to be open two years ago, so there's nothing to celebrate!

Is the south pier also open or no, and when will it open?

the central and the south piers are closed, i dont know the exact date of the opening but before they've got to build the central pier and modernize the T1 and also finish the railway station under the south pier! It could be something like 2 years maybe...quite long

It seems a nice, clean and functional terminal, it will improve a lot Warsaw airport capacity.
I like especially the blue coloured panels!

The terminal looks nice, but they should have built a way bigger terminal. Given Poland's rapidly growing air traffic the new terminal will also operate at capacity limit within 3 years or so.

I agree with you but they never knew that the terminal would have such a huge delay. If it wasn't for the delay, there would have been a new terminal under construction.

Yes of course almost every plane arrives via airbridge and departs. I also think the two airbridges in terminal 1 are still working? When the whole terminal is finished there will be 27 airbridges.

Well, The train station will be below level under ground. It will go directly to the city center. They will construct the central pier soon, once all airlines move to terminal 1, then terminal 1 will be i think closed and from that they will start constructing the pier which will take around a year. should start in late summer i supose.

Wooww, all these improvements; when I flew there 2 years ago, it was sooo crowded, cramped, and small...Domestic terminal was just a tiny hall, hopefully new terminal answers that problem too. One shining moment was the ease and accessability of the viewing terrace; I sure hope they did not get rid of that..A train service too?, I should have waited...
