All his designs are the same...that one right there is practically the same as the Milwaukee art gallery.

Looks like everything else Calatrava designed during his Athens phase.

Individually though, it's a beautiful building. I'd truly love something similar in my own City. Alas, Santiago has but provided with no more than a rather nive bridge. But yeah, this is a really sexy design.

The design is amazing, the only problem I have with it is that New York deserves something to call its own, and not have a copied design.

Calatrava when he presented it described a dove being released from the hands of a young boy and spreading its wings. Its a symbolic architectural gesture. Its also very similar to his design for the Lyons Airport TGV Station. Here are some other pics of it.

His work is nice but very repetitive. Reminds me of the symphony house he plans to build in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and the Milwaukee Opera House in Milwaukee, Wisc, USA. www.atlantasymphonycenter.org. In Chicago, Atlanta, and New York, Mr Calatrava has a lot on his plate!

well, it's 'only' 45m tall.

great structure btw.
although I don't like calatrava anymore because of his repetetive designs.
