OLDENBURG - beautiful city in Northern Germany

162,000 inhabitants (2004); founded in 1108. University w/10,000 students.

There is a town south of where I live was settled by people from this city who named their village Oldneburg.
Oldenburg, Indiana.

You seem to have quite a lot of beautiful towns around Indianapolis, Union

Btw: Thanks for the neat picture show, Skyland! It's balm for the soul to see such lovely midsized towns in Germany, which could kept a lot of their formal charme. Especially in West Germany!

Greensburg(a town nearby) is alot like it, this area was settled heaviely by Germans.
