I think they're a little too yellow.

Is there any glass on any of them yet?

^ Amazing shot! When it's all done, the Marina & JLT together will rival the likes of Midtown Manhattan, Chicago and the main island of HK for the shear scope of buildings and density.

Awesome pic! Would this approximately be the view from Burj Dubai or am I completely wrong about the geography now? btw I think the towers look nice, not too yellow at all.

Very True.

New York has approx 5600 high rise buildings complete or U/C.

Dubai has approx 480 buildings complete or U/C.

My skyline ranking list, based on the number and height of skyscrapers:
#1 Hong Kong
#2 New York
#3 Tokyo
#4 Shanghai
#5 Chicago
#6 Bangkok
#7 Dubai (in 2000: #34)
I will update the list later this year, no doubt Dubai will move up.

Goes to show how much you know about Dubai

Also what qualifies as "high rise" for you isn't the same for us. For you, anything over 12 stories is a "high-rise". If Dubai followed that standard we would have close to 10,000 "high-rise" buildings.

For Dubai, anything less than 40 stories is a low-rise

Used Emporis for both statistics. Doesnt indicate that Dubai has 10,000 high rises. (over 12 stories) I think you pulled that number out of your ass.

We all know how well organized Emporis is when it comes to Dubai. Only the SZR towers and the new towers are added... the old Dubai doesnt exist on emporis!

I gave the 10,000 figure if you include every building that's 12 stories or more (the definition of high rise according to your beloved emporis) and every tower that is approved, or under construction in Dubai today. Business Bay alone contains over 500 high-rise towers including two towers over 100 stories. So much for your 480 figure

Not really talking out of my ass... u can visit SSC UAE and see for yourself.. the 10,000 figure is not as of today... it's probably 8-10 years from now.
