again, these skyscrapers are being built because there is demand for them, right now, it is just that easy.

they are not built by "Dubai" but by local and international developers who want to make money with them, and appearantly it must work don't u think?

i quiet agree. I really don't think they will be flocking, maybe to fly through yes, but to stay more than a couple of days in what essentially is a desert i doubt it. Skyscrapers will not make this place a great city, nor will some of the forced supposidly cultural projects they are putting in place make this a cultural mecca. Isn't any one worried about over supply either. Building this much is commercial suicide who the hell is going to fill all these buildings up? and why would you want to go there anyway it harldy looks luxurious. Didn't anyone learn from the mistakes made on the goldcoast!?!? ( australia)

LOL, all you people need to do some research before commenting on what Dubai is or isnt and what it will be. The minds behind this city have come up with some projects at a scale that the world has never seen and im not talking about these skyscrapers.

I cant be bothered explaining, just do your homework and you will be amazed..

Maybe that's why Jumeirah Beach Residence is the hottest property in Dubai right now selling at upto 400% premium at the original developer's price... I wonder what those dum investors are thinking when they are ready to invest millions on these "not so luxurious" apartments

I'm sorry, but to me all these towers look like 1960's spain, only taller, which unfortunately makes them even worse.

Should be about quality not quantity.

i have to agree, those 2 glass towers are boss but the spanish look towers don't cut it, whilst all glass can be bad this is mainly all sand, dubai has plenty of sand in the desert
