London 15F highrise apartment tower proposed!

One of London's tallest and most radical new building possibilities has been proposed by auteur designer Jean Francon.

I am stoked for this project! Nothing brings out the raw power of man's innermost emotions like Francon's designs! This building is gonna rock if it gets made! It will totally own the London skyline! I love the oil-well resemblences. It shows the inner urge man has to shoot forth his presence on the world.

As quoted from the New London Inquirer:

Quote:

Francon anticipates that the proposal will be met with mixed emotions, as he also states, "I want my designs to show feeling. I want the people, when they see them, to not share agreement with one another. I want to stir, to churn up talk. I want my work to affect everyone individually and be held in individual interpretations."
The official proposal is scheduled for August 6th.

Take THAT Frank Gehry!!!

Utterly hideous. Hopefully this threat is facing London, Ontario, not London, England.

Whatever, man. I for one think it's gorgeous. Guess Mister Franc got what he wanted.

And yes it's England.

Doesn't look too bad. Looks like the launching area for the space shuttle or something. Don't know how this would fit into the London skyline though.

I dont think an architect in these days would dare to propose something utterly humilliating to London architecture and the man who designed it. Looks like an old design, judging from the picture quality. It shall never be built

looks like a space launch, not a skyscraper. What is the designer trying to achieve? is neither pretty in a functional way or in an aesthetic way. Please dont build it, it will only be redeveloped in a few decades

Kinda ugly. I don't think it will be approved (I hope not).

Looks like a 1950s Russian proposal.

If London wants to celebrate pure ugliness...let 'em build it.
