If it's a soccer theme park, does that mean I couldn't use my hands ?

i hope it sports oriented, anyways we've heard of to many proposed theme parks that have either been hot air or die out..so until i see them fork over millions and millions of dollars for the land i wont get my hopes up..also i hope this is somewhere in dade county and hopefully not near the everglades,.

They did say he was in talks with the mayor of Miami. How much land does a theme park take? I dont think there is much open space in Miami, maybe Virginia Key? Im guessing though it will be in the western part of the county, maybe Doral? Chuck do you remember Pirates world, that was a water theme park in Broward that closed a long time ago.

"Real president Florentino Perez sees Disneyland in Orlando as the blueprint "

"The Disney logo will be replaced by the Real one and instead of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto or Bambi, there will be Robinho, Ronaldo, David Beckham or Zinedine Zidane, according to the club."

"Just as we have soccer schools for children in South America, we are now negotiating with the mayors of Beijing and Miami about building theme parks,"

Apart from the usual rollercoasters and theme rides, the parks will also attempt to portray the club's 103-year-old history. It his hoped to have the Real Madrid Park in Beijing up and running in time for the 2008 Olympics there

This would be cool if it went through. Perfect location is taking over that ridiculous Biscayne Landing property. That's a central location for a theme park, and it will get rid of a worthless suburban development project that we don't need. Of course, that would be in a perfect world, we know it's not happening. In the early 1960s, Walt Disney himself looked at purchasing that piece of land. While enough to build a Magic Kingdom, in the end he decided he wanted more land to build a full-pledged resort, so he went to Orlando.

More logical place for this themepark would be near Metro Zoo in South Dade. Lots of development land and there are already big plans to beef up Metro Zoo with animal parks and water parks.

Yes, Rider of ROHAN Pirates World Yes , I was there when I was a teenager some 35 years ago along Sheridan Street between U.S. 1 and AIA on the north side of the road where no homes in the area at that time.
What killed it was the development of homes always geting closer to the theme park and the loud late night Concerts , which I liked going too back then , But the residents won , and closed it down because of the noise of concerts and late night traffic.

I thought all the theme parks lived in Orlando. Miami for a soccer theme park? I'm not so sure about that one.

Actually read in the Herald today that the theme park is more for a soccer academy type of park and they are looking in the North Miami area.

A soccer academy might make sense in Miami as its Latino pop. grows, making it a prime target for Spanish Real Madrid.
