Sorry - I really meant to say that I'd just WALKED five miles from Ashton-Under-Lyne before taking these pics at this very spot (5 + 2 = 7 in total, see?) - that's yet another faux pas of mine in an increasing line which just goes to prove that I AM beginning to show my fucking old age now aren't I?? In fact it's not even Gorton where these pics were taken, but West Gorton/Belle Vue - Gorton being another mile eastwards. I'd just walked from Ashton, via Audenshaw and Denton before passing this point.

Cheers KITR, I fear my old 'Tiny' branded scanner is past help though. Lost the CD and driver when I built my new pc a while back - too tight to fork out for a new one.

This message has appeared in the Leeds forum:-
...........another one to add to the long list of skyscraper projects in Leeds. This will make 13 towers 26 storeys or over either proposed or under construction- there can't be many cities in the Uk or Europe with more. Pro rata Manchester should have more than double this number - does it ? |

Manchester has around 20 projects above 26 storeys. However, if you lowered the criteria to a less arbitrary figure(ie. not the one that suits Leeds best!) say, 20 floors, it would be more like double.

That pano seems soo so soooo wrong with just a tiny doka stump for beetham.. hasn't that tower been around for years? lol.. certainly seems it and the skyline looks empty without it.. It'd be nice if we had a more recent image of this, alas.. it will never quite be (unless we find a nearby tower or they build us a new n', lol).

It's just a bit out of date, Beetham-wise, which is a bit of a shame...

Those pics of Caw's are awesome, if and when our proposed towers get built, it just shows that the argument that Manchester won't have a cluster is rubbish ,look at GN tower ,imagine it fully built on that pano its going to make quite an impression.
Eastgate and Albany will be situated slap bang in between GN and Beetham what have we got? a cluster ![]() Look at most skyline's from around the world and most pictures are taken from a distance creating a cluster. Once our towers start construction certain view points from around the city will create a cluster in Manchester, exciting times my friends, roll on with the revolution
