Yeh, it's in the process of demolition now, There are holes revealing the foundations by the side of it, i hope they blow it up

Someone I know just moved into one of those new Castlefield flats on Liverpool Road (next to the Y Health club and opposite the Museum of Science and Industry.) yesterday in fact.

I was 'knocking' around an old mill straddling Middlewood Locks today.
Took some footage, though no stills good for this thread. I may be back fairly soon...if not the Middlewood Locks area (off chapel street/james street) presents what for me is the densest, most fanastic view of central manchester. Beetham looks sleek enough from here too. |

Mwa, mwa.
Cheers Chris. All fenced off for Middlewood Locks action. Looks a bit ropey round there, but what's this area generally like? Isn't Fusion next door? There's such activity round there that it can't be too long before this is yet another finger of the city marching on. |

Soon Middlewood Locks will land and obliterate that view!
Here are a couple of zoomed views from the bridge over the railway at Ardwick station. A team point if you can spot Salford Cathedral in the 1st one. ![]() Crown, Eastgate, Piccadilly Place coming soon.......

Portland grows on me more with every photo. It actually looks quite nice with a little sun reflecting off the windows.

City tower actually looks quite good on that photo. Once they've cleaned the top up and the sides.

I work in Manchester every couple of weeks. Often at the GMEX. I took a few pics in the Summer whilst working at the Oasis gig at Man City, couple of months ago.
