It's on water (sort of ), it's mixed use (sort of ) haha, it's designed in a distinctive but sophisticated shape, it represents unexpected excitement for Durbanites and S-Africans alike... I dunno, but it makes me feel like every city has a chance!

Well the site has finally been fenced off, demolition has finished too and the piling machines are in!

Nah, i'll put some aerial photos up that show the neightbourhood.

The point aera of durban has been the most run down part of the city for years. At present 16 buildings are going there and the massive rejuvenation project in in full swing. The majority of new builds are 10F in the area, except for San Raphael at 35F, Spinnaker at 27F and SKYhomes at 17F. Alot of the older buildings (dating to 19th century) are being renovated and given a new lease on life.

The Harbour (busiest in africa) is just across the street and it will form an intregal part of the point rejuvenation.

Plans are in an advanced stage for the new cruiseliner terminal which will be 100m from San Raphael. It is proposed to be over 20F, mainly comprising residential apartments above the customs office and retail on the groundfloor.

So Durban is starting to push the dev
